I built model railways as a teenager, so working near Miniatur Wunderland still feels like a strange kind of homecoming. On camera I move slowly along the display cases, pointing out which miniature scenes change with a working day and night cycle and which details took the builders years to finish. I explain how the exhibition grew from a single room into one of the city's most visited attractions almost by accident.
