I have lived on Ostrów Tumski for most of my life, so I know exactly which lamp the lamplighter reaches first each evening. On camera I follow the round quietly, since the atmosphere does most of the explaining itself. In the cathedral I try to be honest about how much of what looks medieval is actually careful postwar reconstruction, since the building's survival is its own kind of story. I keep both sessions slower paced, matching the mood of the island itself.
