I moved to Zakopane a few years ago and still find the cemetery on Peksowy Brzysk one of the most striking places in town, with its carved wooden grave markers for highland guides and artists rather than the usual stone. I explain who is buried there and why the wooden tradition matters so much locally. I also cover Wielka Krokiew, the ski jumping hill that has hosted competitions for close to a century, and try to give a sense of the scale from ground level. Video suits both of these well, since they are places that reward a careful, unhurried look rather than a quick pass.
