I sang in the choir at Agios Minas as a girl, so its painted ceiling is the image I picture whenever anyone says the word cathedral. Filming is normal inside, so I move the phone slowly across the large frescoes, pausing on the ones painted after the building was finished in the early twentieth century, and explaining which older icons were moved in from the smaller church beside it. I keep my voice low during services and film around them rather than through them. I like ending a call with one detail nobody else ever points out to visitors.
