I have guided around the Brandenburg Gate for over a decade, and I still start every session the same way, standing back far enough that you see the whole gate before I move in on the details. On camera I like tracing the walk down Unter den Linden slowly, since the boulevard's grand buildings reward a steady pace rather than a rushed pass. I studied history before I began guiding and I enjoy folding in the smaller stories, like the book burning at Bebelplatz, alongside the more famous sights. I keep things fairly formal, with plenty of dates and context, and always welcome specific questions.
