I used to work sound at USF Verftet before training as a guide, so I know the old sardine factory's turn into a cultural venue better than most. My evening session films the building and the bars around it once concerts let out. A daytime session covers Møhlenpris and the university streets on Nygårdshøyden, a quieter side of the city most visitors skip. A third session reaches Fantoft, the reconstructed stave church above the city, where I explain both the medieval design and the fire that destroyed the original in 1992. I like moving between all three, since together they cover Bergen outside Bryggen properly.
