I trained as an archaeologist and worked briefly at the National Museum before moving into guiding, so its archaeology courtyard and the Natural History Museum nearby are subjects I know in real depth. On camera and on calls I like explaining what a single object or specimen tells you about a much wider period, rather than rushing through a general summary. Four years of guiding has taught me to keep a session focused on one clear thread. I always answer questions properly as they come, since that is usually where a session gets interesting.
