I trained as a conservator before I started guiding, and old Ottoman-era houses are still what interest me most in this city. On camera I like showing the carved wooden ceilings inside a merchant's house that has barely changed in generations, then moving on to a coppersmith's window where the same techniques are still practised by hand. I also run a short session by the river, since the exact shade of green the Neretva turns depends on the season and nobody asks about it directly. I keep my calls detailed rather than quick, and I am happy explaining a single carved panel for several minutes if someone is curious.
