Levan Gogoladze

I was born a few streets from Abanotubani, and the smell of sulphur from the bathhouses is one of my earliest memories of the city. On camera I hold on the domed roofs and the brick facades, and I explain how the district grew up around natural hot springs that still feed the baths today. I have watched Chreli-Abano's tiled front get restored panel by panel, so I know exactly which sections are original. My calls run at a steady pace, and I always leave room for questions about the water itself.
