I studied graphic design, which is probably why the Escher house pulled me in before most of my other guiding did, and I still notice the tessellations in his early work everywhere I look in the city now. On camera I stand in the palace courtyard and describe the illusions room by room, since filming the artwork itself is not something the museum allows. I also take calls with people planning a first visit, walking them through The Hague and Scheveningen together so they arrive already knowing which parts of the day matter most to them.
