I studied architecture and now spend most of my guiding time on Utrecht's quieter, greener side, particularly the Art Nouveau villas south of the centre that hardly anyone photographs. I like framing a whole facade on camera rather than zooming in, since the detail only makes sense against the full shape of the building. Saturdays I also run a session around a small market square, which changes completely once the stalls are up. I try to keep a relaxed pace throughout and welcome questions about the buildings even if they interrupt my plan.
