Louise Fenger

I studied design history and worked briefly at the Designmuseum before starting to guide sessions built around Danish design rather than the city's older landmarks. On camera I stay close to a handful of well-known furniture pieces inside the museum, explaining what made Danish design distinctive from the 1950s onward. I also step outside briefly to show the museum's own building, a converted eighteenth century hospital. I keep each session focused on a small number of objects rather than trying to cover the whole collection. Video guiding suits design well, since the camera can hold on a single chair long enough to actually see it.
