Lucía Moreno

I hold a degree in art history from the Complutense and have been an official tourist guide of the Comunidad de Madrid since 2015. Before that I worked for two years in the education department of the Museo del Prado, preparing school visits. That job taught me how to explain Velázquez to a room of fourteen-year-olds in under ten minutes, which turns out to be a useful skill with adults as well. My tours are built around a small number of works. In the Prado we spend real time in front of Las Meninas, the Black Paintings of Goya and The Garden of Earthly Delights instead of rushing through forty rooms. In the Reina Sofía I concentrate on Guernica and the context around it. I live in Lavapiés, a short walk from the museums. I speak Spanish, English and Italian, the last from a year of study in Bologna. I guide live on video now, walking Madrid with my phone and answering your questions in real time.
