Mads Kristensen

I have cycled to work every day of my adult life, including the winter when the harbour froze, so a bike tour felt like the obvious thing to start with. I grew up in Aarhus, moved to Copenhagen to study at the School of Architecture and then cooked for six years, first in a hotel kitchen and later at a smørrebrød lunch place in Vesterbro where we opened at eleven and sold out by two. I live in Nørrebro with my partner and our daughter, who rides in the cargo bike and has strong opinions about pastries. I speak Danish, English and German. I like to keep things simple and honest. I will not tell you Copenhagen is perfect, and I will explain why so many Danes complain about the tourist boats in Nyhavn, while still taking you to see them.
