Magnus Overgaard

I worked briefly as a parliamentary researcher before switching to guiding, so Christiansborg's current role still interests me as much as its architecture. On camera I walk the palace's exterior, pointing out how it houses the parliament, supreme court and prime minister's office all in one building, unusual anywhere in Europe. I explain how the current structure is the third built on this site after two previous palaces burned down. I keep my sessions factual and fairly brisk, since the building's scale covers a lot of ground. Video guiding suits a working government building better than a group tour would.
