Maja Lindgren

I studied medieval history with a focus on Swedish royal burial practice, which eventually led me to guiding around the church where most Swedish monarchs are actually buried. On camera I walk the small island's edge, since the interior stays quiet enough that filming inside would be disruptive, and describe the tombs and their occupants from detailed notes I have kept for years. I point out the spire's distinctive cast-iron construction, unusual for its period. I keep the tone measured, since a burial site deserves a different register than a livelier walk.
