I studied naval history and spent two years volunteering at the museum inside Firka Fortress before I ever guided a call. On video I walk the fortress ramparts facing the harbour mouth, explaining how this exact position controlled who could enter or leave the port for centuries, then turn the camera toward the Naval Museum's courtyard, since filming stays outside its galleries. From the walls you get the clearest view in the old town of both the sea and the rooftops behind it. I answer naval history questions in more detail than most guides bother to give.
