I have worked in and around Berlin's nightlife scene for over a decade, and RAW-Gelände, a former railway repair yard turned club and market district, is still where I feel most at home explaining how the city's nightlife actually grew out of its industrial past. On camera I stay outside the clubs themselves, since most cannot be filmed, and describe what happens inside from the street. I also guide a shorter session outside Berghain, explaining the club's reputation and its own former life as a power station. I keep things fairly brief and direct and enjoy questions about the scene's history rather than club-going tips.
