I studied early Christian history at university and volunteer occasionally at the church beside the ancient basilica ruins, so the two buildings feel connected to me rather than separate stops. On camera I walk the ruins of Agia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa first, explaining what an early Christian basilica this size would have looked like standing, then turn to the smaller church still in active use right beside it. I keep my voice low whenever the church itself is in session. I like showing how faith on this spot has continued, in some form, for almost two thousand years.
