Marianne Isaksen

I trained in Arctic history and worked briefly as a research assistant before moving into guiding, so museums are still where I feel most useful on camera even though the exhibits stay off screen. My main session stops outside the Polar Museum, filmed from the harbourside building itself, where I talk through Tromsø's role in polar expeditions heading north. A second session covers the University Museum's exterior, where I explain the wider Arctic and Sami collections held inside. I try to give context on both sessions that the buildings themselves can only hint at from outside.
