I grew up close enough to the cathedral to hear its bells from my bedroom window, so its treasury and the square around it still feel like home ground to me. On camera I show the cathedral's exterior and the square first, since the treasury itself sits behind glass, then some days I walk out to Fort Bokar on the western end of the walls instead. Both sides of Dubrovnik get less attention than the main Stradun crowds, which is part of why I stick to them. Eight years of guiding has made me fairly particular about pointing out details rather than covering ground quickly.
