Mario Grech

I was baptised in the Gozo Cathedral and have climbed the Citadella lanes more times than I could count. On camera I like starting in the old prison cells, where the graffiti carved by past inmates still surprises people who expect only stonework and history. My uncle worked as a warden there decades ago, so a few of the stories I tell came directly from him rather than a guidebook. I keep my calls at a walking pace and stop whenever someone asks about a detail I might otherwise pass too quickly.
