I have lived close enough to Lotrščak Tower for years that the noon cannon marks the middle of my day without me needing a clock. On camera I climb toward the tower and explain why the shot has fired daily since the nineteenth century, originally to help ships and now purely by habit. I also spend time on Tkalčićeva street during the day, before the bars take over, since it once ran along an actual stream before the city built over it. I keep my calls steady and enjoy explaining details most people walk past.
