I grew up in Petrovaradin, close enough to the fortress that its tunnels feel like a second home rather than a tourist stop. On camera I start at the clock tower, since people are always surprised that the long hand marks the hour and the short one the minutes, a design made so river boatmen could read the time from across the water. I studied the fortress's Habsburg-era engineering and can talk at length about how its underground galleries connect beneath the ramparts.
