About Markus
I trained as a singer before switching to guiding, so I can explain the Vienna State Opera's acoustics and history with more than a passing interest. On camera I stay on the Ring facing the opera house, describing the same-day standing tickets that make performances accessible to almost anyone. I keep my sessions focused on the building and its programme rather than opera history in general. I answer technical questions on performances in detail, since that is where my own training sits.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
