I have led parish tours around the Basílica del Pilar for years before the platform gave me a way to do it on camera instead, and the pillar itself, said to mark a Marian apparition, is still what pilgrims most want explained. On camera I walk from the basilica out into Plaza del Pilar, one of Europe's largest public squares, and explain how the two spaces work together. I also run a shorter planning call for anyone piecing together a day around the basilica and the wider old town. I keep my tone respectful without being solemn, since plenty of visitors come for the architecture rather than the faith.
