Martin Horák

I have guided in Prague and Bohemia since 2005, after ten years as a geography teacher in Písek, a small town in the south where my family still lives. My German comes from my mother, who grew up near Liberec, and my Russian from school, which was compulsory then. I am a calm person and a careful planner. On my trips I like to explain how the landscape shaped the people, why towns sit where they sit, and why Bohemia has so many castles. I live in Dejvice, close to the Petřín hills where I run most mornings, and I brew my own beer in the cellar, not very successfully. I have a teenage daughter who thinks guiding is embarrassing.
