Martina Gallo

I volunteer at the cat sanctuary built into the ruins at Largo di Torre Argentina, so I know both the site's ancient history and its more recent one as a home for Rome's stray cats. On camera I move around the sunken square slowly, pointing out which temple is which among the ruins, and where the cats tend to gather at different times of day. It is one of the few places in Rome where two thousand years of history and an ordinary rescue project share exactly the same space.
