Museum Gardens holds the ruins of St Mary's Abbey, and I run most of my calls between the ruined arches and the Yorkshire Museum next door. I like showing how the surviving stonework hints at how large the abbey once was before it was largely dismantled centuries ago. I studied museum studies and worked as a gardener on the site itself before guiding took over. I keep a calm pace and stop wherever the light through the ruins looks best that day.
