I grew up near the Rialto and have watched the market streets around the bridge fill and empty every single day of my life, so I know their rhythm better than any history book does. My other session climbs to the rooftop terrace of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, a former trading house turned department store, for a view over the canal most visitors never see. I keep both sessions fairly brisk and practical, and I like pointing out small working details of the city rather than only its famous sights.
