Michal Dabrowski

I have spent years researching Lublin's Jewish history, and most of my sessions centre on the Grodzka Gate, which once separated the Christian and Jewish quarters and now works to keep that vanished community's memory alive. I try to explain what stood on a street before the war rather than only what stands there now, since so much of that history survives only in photographs and records. I also run a shorter call on Majdanek, keeping the tone careful rather than dramatic. I speak Ukrainian as well as Polish and English, since many who book me are recent arrivals wanting to understand this history.
