My family came to Luxembourg from Portugal, like a good share of the city, and I grew up in Grund, the river district below the cliffs. My sessions cover that neighbourhood and the Adolphe Bridge nearby, both places that say something about how the city has grown and rebuilt itself. I like explaining the practical side of things, why a bridge was rebuilt or how a district avoided demolition, rather than sticking to a purely decorative history. I keep a friendly, unhurried pace throughout.
