I trained as a guide specialising in medieval Transylvania, and Cluj's connection to King Matthias Corvinus is still the story I enjoy telling most, since the house where he was born in 1443 stands only a short walk from the square that now carries his statue. On camera I also trace the old defensive walls, especially the Tailors' Bastion, where each guild once took responsibility for its own stretch of fortification. I keep a formal, detailed pace and welcome specific questions about the Hungarian and Saxon history layered through this city.
