I worked harbour tours for years before training as a video guide, so Älvsborg Fortress, reached only by boat, is where my main session still starts, filmed from the approach and the fortress walls themselves. A second session walks part of Liseberg's gardens, the amusement park's older, quieter side away from the rides, which opened as a public garden back in 1923 before any of the attractions arrived. I like showing the two sides of the harbour's history, a fortress built to defend it and a garden built simply to be enjoyed beside it.
