I have guided walking tours around Belgrade's centre for over a decade, though the fortress at Kalemegdan is still where I feel most at home on camera. I show the point where the Sava meets the Danube and explain how many empires fought over exactly this spot. Further into town I also cover Terazije and the monument that has watched over it since the last century, and I finish some sessions across the river in Zemun's older streets. I keep a formal, detailed pace and welcome long strings of questions about any period of the city's history.
