I studied twentieth-century history and I guide sessions on two of Berlin's most direct memorial sites, the field of concrete slabs near the Brandenburg Gate and the Topography of Terror exhibition built on a former Gestapo headquarters. On camera I keep my pace slow and my tone plain, since these places do not need embellishment to make their point. I take care to explain the history clearly and factually, and I always leave space for questions, including from people revisiting difficult family history of their own. I think video suits sites like these well, since the camera can simply show what is there without commentary getting in the way.
