I trained as a watchmaker before I started guiding, so the Patek Philippe Museum, housed in a former workshop, is the place I know from the inside as much as the outside. On camera I hold the phone close to the display cases, explaining the mechanisms rather than only the design. On the call version I bring up close-up images instead and go deeper into how a movement is actually assembled by hand. I keep my explanations technical but plain, since I think watchmaking rewards precision in language as much as in the work itself. I answer questions about mechanisms in as much detail as anyone wants.
