Nelson Braga

I trained as a historian focused on Porto's merchant class, and the old Stock Exchange Palace is where that history is easiest to show on camera. Since the interior stays closed to filming, I hold the shot on the building's grand exterior and explain what the Arab Room and the trading hall look like inside from memory and photographs. I follow this with the merchants' square outside, once the centre of the city's trading life. I answer questions about Porto's commercial history in real depth, since it explains far more about the city than its landmarks alone.
