Nora Ekström

I trained as a biologist and worked one summer as a guide inside Linnaeus's own garden, which is still laid out to his original plan two and a half centuries later. On camera I move bed by bed the way he grouped his plants, by class rather than by colour, and it changes how people see a garden that otherwise looks like any other. I grew up on the edge of Sunnerstahöjden and still run the hill most mornings before my calls start. I try to slow down and let a single plant hold the frame for longer than feels natural at first.
