I moved to Parque das Nacoes when it was still mostly building sites left over from Expo 98, so I have watched this riverside district grow into its current shape rather than arriving to something finished. On camera I walk the gardens and towers along the river first, then show the Oceanario from outside, explaining what the building's design was meant to represent. I keep both sessions focused on the architecture and river views rather than the aquarium's interior, which I do not film. Four years of guiding has given me a real fondness for a part of Lisbon most visitors rush past.
