I have kayaked Christianshavn's canals for years before ever thinking about guiding, so I still see the district mostly from the water rather than the street. On camera I follow the canal path first, pointing out the houseboats moored along certain stretches and the old naval buildings that explain why this district was built where it was. I then walk a short distance to the ramparts overlooking the water, showing the wider layout from slightly above. I keep my pace slow along the canal, since the reflections change with almost every gust of wind. Video guiding here shows water as much as architecture.
