My family has grown kumquats on a small plot outside town since the fruit first arrived on the island, so explaining it on camera feels more like talking about a relative than a curiosity. On camera I show the groves and how the fruit gets turned into the spoon sweets and liqueur the island is known for. I also cook pastisada regularly at home, and I walk through how the dish came to be one of Corfu's most recognisable, shaped by generations of local kitchens. I keep sessions relaxed and enjoy the food questions I get most of all.
