Paolo Rinaldi

I studied archaeology, so the Roman Theatre, uncovered only in the early twentieth century near the base of the castle hill, is where I feel most useful as a guide. My other session covers Piazza della Borsa, built around the old stock exchange, where I explain how Trieste's nineteenth-century wealth as a port city shaped its architecture. I like connecting Roman Trieste to the much later merchant city that grew up around it. I keep a steady, informative pace and welcome detailed questions.
