I have ridden the funicular up to Brunate more times than I can count, and I still think the view over the lake from the top is one of the best in Lombardy on a clear day. My other session follows the lakefront promenade from Piazza Cavour past the Volta temple, where I point out how the walkway has become the city's evening gathering spot. I keep both sessions fairly relaxed, and I like adjusting the pace to the weather, since the lake looks completely different depending on the light.
