I trained as a guide at the Unterlinden Museum years ago and still think the Isenheim Altarpiece is worth explaining properly, even from outside the building on camera. I hold the frame still on the museum's stone façade and talk through what makes the painting inside so significant before moving on. My route through Colmar usually ends near the Collegiate Church, since the light there in the afternoon is hard to beat. I keep a steady pace on calls and try to leave enough silence for viewers to actually look rather than just listen.
