I trained in hospitality before guiding, and I still approach a call the way I would a good welcome, calm and attentive rather than rushed. Biarritz's markets are where I feel most useful, since I know the stallholders well enough to ask them things a stranger with a camera usually cannot. I speak Spanish as well as French and English, which matters more here than people expect, given how close the border actually is. I keep a fairly formal tone on calls, though viewers usually loosen that up within the first few questions, and I am happy to follow wherever that goes.
