I have walked the Ringstrasse regularly for years, so I know which stretch gives the clearest view of each grand building along its length. On camera I move along the boulevard at a steady pace, explaining how the whole ring replaced the old city walls in the nineteenth century. I keep sessions focused on a specific stretch rather than the entire loop, since the boulevard is too long to cover properly in one sitting. I answer questions on individual buildings throughout, since I know most of their histories in reasonable detail.
