I trained in art history with a focus on Baroque church interiors, so the cathedral and the mausoleum beside it have shaped most of my working life already. On camera I show the faded fresco on the cathedral's outer wall depicting the plagues of a single bad year in the fifteenth century, then move to the mausoleum next door built for an emperor who wanted his own grand ending. I keep a slow, careful pace through both buildings and answer detailed questions about the artwork whenever they come up.
