I worked as a fisherman before training as a guide, so my main session at Polaria starts from outside the tilted, ice-floe-shaped building, where I describe some of what is kept inside without the camera stepping through the door. A second session runs as a call rather than a walk, since the northern lights themselves cannot be scheduled to a fixed time or filmed reliably through a phone screen. On that call I explain when and where to look, and what the forecast actually measures, based on years of watching the sky here myself before it was ever part of my job.
