My family has run a restaurant on the Curry Mile for over twenty years, so I grew up watching the street from behind a counter before I ever walked it for a camera. I like showing the spice shops and the older restaurants that people driving past usually miss, and explaining what makes a Rusholme curry house different from one in the city centre. I speak Hindi as well as English, which helps with a good number of my callers. I keep the pace easy and stop often so people can actually see what I am pointing at.
